project. Bob’s cobblestone driveway

date. Summer 2020

location. Lancashire

specificationCobblestone architecture has an old-world charm and lends a certain unorthodox sophistication to any landscape. With its rich history, unusual style and patterns we’re seeing a rise in the fan base of cobble stone driveways. And rightly so...not just a quirky and unorthodox way to compliment a home and garden but also very long lasting. If you ask yourself why cobble stone adorns many streets, driveways and pathways, it’s because of its durability, remaining strong in severe weathers.

Owner Bob started and unfortunately due to time constraints was unable to continue his plans for a cobble driveway. We joined forces to finish the plans and started laying Indian and blue limestone cobbles with a rapid setting grout to create a colourful mixed pattern. I'd say we’re a week away from finishing, so for now here are some of our ‘before’ and ‘in progress’ pictures.
