project. gaps and glamping

date. Winter 2019

location. Forest of Bowland (FOB) Lancashire

specificationLocated on the fringe of the Forest of Bowland (FOB) an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) the Bleasdale Estate is a true Lancashire gem. Well respected for pheasant shooting with terrific heights and strong winds it exploits everything nature supplies to provide exceptionally high sporting birds. Rates 5/5 on trip advisor the farmland and glorious scenery here supply the perfect backdrop for one of the UK’s most luxurious glamping sites - Lanterns and Larks

Sever Atlantic storms, high winds, heavy rainfall cause a major risk to the stability of our forests around the UK. Windthrow (uprooting/windsnap) damage is a serious threat to economic forestry, resulting in a loss of timber yield, landscape quality and habitat loss.

Our priorities here for the past few months have been to identify and repair all the damaged walls. The work is extensive and honestly quite messy. We’ll be working here alongside the Forrest contractors to repair the landscape for some time.
